Located in one of Christchurch’s premium property locations on the Worcester Boulevard neighbouring the Art Gallery and opposite the Christchurch City Councils Civic Offices, Architecture Studio was engaged to design a six level office building with on-grade car parking. Special attention to the street facade’s design needed to be considered with its location bordering the Art Gallery. Full height faceted glass panels were created for variation and also allowing a visual connection to the Boulevard below. An atrium space was created at the third floor up to the roof allowing a setback for glazing, meeting boundary exposure fire rating regulations, with a view towards Hagley Park. Concept and preliminary design compete. Working drawing documentation to commence 2015.
