Architecture Studio was engaged to design a new purpose built industrial manufacturing building for the Spunlite Poles operation who manufacture large quantities of street and highway lighting around New Zealand, including heritage light features. Their existing building was demolished on Halswell Junction Road to make way for the new 2700 m2 factory designed in a L-shape due to site constraints. Each portion of the factory features a six tonne gantry crane including offices, amenities and mezzanine staff facilities.
