Architecture Studio was engaged by our Client to design a new two level residence and stand alone studio unit with a triple car garage. The property is located in the prestigious Fendalton suburb surrounded with high end homes and expansive established grounds. This property banks onto a stream and subject to lateral spread towards the stream bank in the event of an earthquake. The ground was stabilised with stone columns which was one of the first properties to adopt this method of stabilisation post Canterbury Earthquakes. The studio and garage is complete with construction of the main residence to commence early 2015. The main residence features a large open plan living, dining, kitchen on the ground floor looking over a reflection pond and views down to the stream. The ground floor also features a conservatory to capture all day sun, master bedroom, ensuite and study. The first floor has three bedrooms, two bathroom and a guest lounge. A large north facing balcony captures all day sun.
