Melray Electric is an established Electrical Contracting business located in Christchurch. Merlay Electric approached Architecture Studio to transform their existing late 1960’s concrete block office building with a new façade and interior alterations. The exterior shell of the building remained and a new stair well created with full height glass. The façade was painted and new partial cladding and aluminium louvres introduced. Old internal walls were removed and new office partitions installed with borrowed light glazing. LED lighting was introduced to the façade to illuminate in the evening.
